Forum - Traveling companion

I love traveling and exploring new places. I was just watching a show about cruises to Alaska and have always wanted to go on one.

Do any of you travel with clients as companions?
If so, what sort of policies do you put in place?
Do you charge for your time as well as the cost of the trip or just the cost of the trip? What's fair in this regard?
What's the experience been like for those who have traveled with clients?
What's worked? What hasn't?

Any assistance you can give me in this regard would be most helpful.
