I have never dated a bisexual man. Not because I don't like the idea, I just haven't had the opportunity to do so. I'd be willing to try it, as long as my partner always always always practiced safe sex.

I've heard of plenty of bisexual women getting married and having a family but yet playing around with other women; but the reverse doesn't seem to be as socially acceptable (gotta love society's double standards! /sarcasm) and therefore, less common--at least on the surface. A glance at Craigslist's casual encounter ads suggest it may be more common than we think.

The real problem arises when one gets emotionally involved with someone you did not know was bisexual.I have met a lady who was so totally destroyed mentally by her husband going off with another man that she turned to heroin and I know a few lesbians who married just to have children and divorced their partners rapidly.All very upsetting if one is on the receiving end and did not know ones special friend/soul mate actually preferred to be with someone of the same sex.
