Very recently, I had a date with a client who made a comment (or three) regarding the attire of escorts that he has gone on dates with. He lamented about her choice of attire - huge hoop earrings, hot pants, spaghetti top, visible bra strap, etc.

To the hobbyist - how do you expect your companion to dress for your date?

Personally, I feel that the above mentioned attire is far too indiscreet, especially for an Asian girl on a date with a Caucasian gentleman. Her attire and company would certainly draw a few raised eyebrows.

Many of you would say that attire really depends on the occasion/setting for the date. I can see myself wearing the above mentioned attire if I were on a date to the beach but what about other settings? Say, dinner in a 5 star hotel, sight seeing, a formal event.

I'd like to know what you all think (:

Being a mature escort none of the mentioned attire would look natural on me.

I love what I do but I have no desire walking around looking like a hooker. So I dress normally, light makeup (or no makeup), my regular clothes with something sexy underneath (but not obvious til the outwear comes off).

I walk into a hotel and no one pays any attention to me and I'd like to keep it that way. I conduct myself as the "sunday school teacher by day and whore by night" which alot of gentlemen love.

The "obvious whore" look to me is just trashy, but I imagine there are men who also like that look - otherwise no one would wear it.

I agree with you Danni... It is simple, decent and matured to dress simply outdoors, when with a client... Why attract attention of the crowd, it makes a bad impression. Worse, it may make the client feel uncomfortable. I'd feel the same way too, if I found people staring at the person, who is with me...

I always dress like a gentleman that I am.. I've been gifted with a pair of sexy looking underwears by a client, but that is not visible until I am inside the bedroom of the client.. Once inside, I do all kinds of stuff to please my client.

Have fun!

Marriott to Erase Web Comment on Thai Prostitutes

Updated: Fri, Aug 31, 2009, 1:40 AM EDT

BANGKOK (Reuters) - U.S.-based hotel chain Marriott International Inc said on Friday it would delete a dress code tip on its Web site which links women wearing blouses and shorts in Thailand to prostitutes.

One of the pages in the www.marriot.com site advising the dress code in Thailand says: "No Thai men wear shorts. Among women, only prostitutes wear sleeveless blouses and/or shorts."

Paveena Hongsakul, member of parliament of an opposition party, told Reuters the comment was an affront to Thai women and she would submit a letter urging the hotel to apologize and change the message.

"This is unacceptable. They've made it sounds like all Thai women are
prostitutes. They must change the wording and make an apology," Paveena said.

Jeff Crowe, marketing director of the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Bangkok, told
Reuters the hotel was sorry about what happened and would change the content "as quickly as possible."

"Clearly that is inaccurate and we've got to get it fixed immediately," he said.

This special "dress code" is a permanent topic among five star hotels in Thailand. Why do the ladies dress like this? May be they brainlessly copy it or continue what they have been ordered in bars and brothels before, where such a dress code is a rule, often.

Yes Alexa - you absolutely right - attire depends on setting up a date.
But it also depends on the selection the customer makes. If you take girl from some bar and then go with her to 5star hotel - who really deserves criticism? If you call upscale agency you shure expect the lady dresed well.
I never was abmarrased by the lady dress standard if I make appointment in good hotel and use ads from Internet. The ladies know what hotel they will visit and what attire would be proper for the venue.

All what ToniW mentioned is typical hipocrysy - Year ago during election to the position of Bangkok Governor one of the candidates was owner of many "massage" parlours. And nobody had the problem with that.
Almost every man of high position and substance in Thailand has a mia noi or frequents "gentleman" clubs - and nobody has a problem with that.
Go-go bars and other "enertaiment" venues are all over the country attracting tourist and local customers money - and nobody has a problem with that.

Ha,ha - dress code - what a lot of hypocritical nonsense!

I agree that the what you wear on a date depends on where you are going and any requests made by the client. I always try to be sexy and sophisticated. I always want too look good and be discreet. The clients appreciate discretion.

"Prostitution in Thailand" is another expression for hypocrisy, isn't it. ;-)
