Forum - Milk Prices May Be Going Down Soon

I have heard on the news that milk prices may be going down soon. I sure hope that they will also consider bringing some of those prices down on a lot of other things like on all groceries and even gas.


P.S. - Updating on hearing about milk prices going down....well, they have not said much on the news lately about milk prices going down or any other prices going down since the other day. So much instability in the stock markets as well. I guess I will just have to buckle down; and bring out some of those coupons and find some other way to save up where I can. I am determined to make it through the hard times though.

Hi Kotikkk and yes milk has been expensive lately; one of the stores I was in had a gallon of milk for $5 plus tax. Other stores have it for a little less than that though.
But, if you're a cat; at least you don't have to worry about the price of milk; your owner would have to worry about the price of buying it for you. MMM? if you are lucky enough you may even be able to get NATURAL milk which is free and is very good for the body(winking and smiling!)

I don't think the price of milk or any thing else will be going down soon. Sure, Bush and the Fed have helped out wall street and big business but not the working class person. Corn is used as feed as well as alfalfa and wheat hay and oats but with the rising cost of fuel the farmers will pass the cost on to the markets and the markets will pass it on to the consumer. Until the dollar gets stronger, look for more hard times.

Yes, I see all the prices going up on a lot of things and it can get very saddening at times because the minimum wage and/or all salaries have not gone up to help people pay for all the things they need. So, I know what you are talking about. I agree the dollar has lost value and hopefully things will get better. All I know is that I will keep my faith and just do what I can to make it during the hard times. I hope you have a good week Paul.

Not only that, but they have done so at the expense of the working class person. It's like Robin Hood in reverse -- steal from the poor and give to the rich.

I think corporate America is robbing the country (and the world) blind.

Inflation is a way of transferring wealth from the majority of the people to a minority. It's actually a form of robbery.

We all pay higher prices for things we need to live. Wages and salaries do not keep pace with the increase in the cost of living. Big business makes higher profits when they sell things for higher prices, but continue to pay lower (actually or relatively) wages.

I think we need to freeze and roll back prices and allow wages and salaries to go up.

The so-called experts will tell you that that will ruin the country, but the country is heading toward ruination under their "great" leadership, so we might as well try something new.

I agree that we need to freeze and roll back prices. I also agree that wages and salaries should go up. It's very sad that many people are having to work 2 and 3 jobs just to make ends meet; and they still can't seem to be able to pay off bills and everyday needs. I know because I go through the same thing myself and sure wish it would get better. Until then, I will do what I can to keep going. I wish you all the best in these hard times. if they lower the price of food, it does not make a difference since all the other prices for the other goods are still going up so in the end i find that we are not benefitting from this

Hi bijoux and I agree that it would not make much diffrence if they just lower only food prices. It would make a world of difference though if they lowered all prices on everything. Well, maybe one day; no matter what though hang in there and somehow, someway we all will find our way through the hard times. I go through it myself everyday and find it hard to choose between food,gas,things I need, and medicine. I know there are lots more people out there that go through this too. All I know is that a positive and good change has to come to relieve some of these economic problems. I hope that you have a good and safe day.

In my opinion freezing prices is not a variant. They must strenghten the currency until it isn't too late!
I hope you all drink natural milk, at least sometimes.)) That made of milk powder is awful!

Very true Lonelitude; the currency does need need to be stengthened.
I also have tasted the made of milk powder when I was growing up; and it's not real yummy; that's for sure. I have had natural milk before and it is very good!

Hey! You Gals out there. Just see to it that the milkbooths remain firm and upright. If they were to sag down then there would be a severe crisis of milk and then the prices would definitely soar as the "Pussy" would drink all the milk. Heh! Heh! Just on a lighter note. You see the world is a shitty place and life does have a habit of fucking one and all at some point in time and nothing can be done about it but to carry on with a smile on your face. Best.
