Over the last year and a half, a special task force of the Milwaukee Police Department has targeted online prostitution by turning up the technology on buyers and sellers alike.

Police said escorts can earn about $250 an hour on craigslist, but if they are caught, they will pay a high price. A prostitution arrest can cost them nine months in the county jail.

The same is true for their customers.

Milwaukee police said they've made about 150 arrests in their Internet stings at hotels all across the city in the past year and a half.
