In my opinion, a huge factor is the user-supplied 'content'. Posting activity is related to the number of *active* users and the quality of the posts. Once a critical mass of *active* users is obtained and the post quality is such as to be attractive to internet visitors --- this site has the potential to be really big. But you're right, we are not there yet.
The first and most important thing that *we* can do is to post quality content. So I personally welcome your contributions (and I hope to see more from you!)
