Forum - What the hell is going on?

Okay, so I'm feeling a little stressed today. I noticed that I have held the #1 spot in ad sequence in NC for quite awhile, and today I wake up to find I've been moved to #215. Have an other providers noticed this? I know how the ads rank obviously that's why I have worked so hard to be number one! Now ladies that haven't even had a hit on there sites and even some without pictures are #1. This just can't be possible. I blame computer glitch, lol. Okay I'm done whining have a good one guys!

I was kind of wondering how the sequence worked too because for my wisconsin ad I am ranked 97th I think and thats behind people that have'nt even logged in this year according to their profiles.

There has been ongoing problems with the activity counter, reputation and ad order systems which are interconnected. As I understand, ad order is a function of reputation and activity, so the ad order will go haywire if the reputation and activity counts go south.

I would counsel patience ladies. If it seems like its taking a long time to fix, I figure they're dealing with tough or complex technical issues.

Site Admin --- it would be helpful if you would post the status of the activity / reputation / ad ordering systems, and how long we can expect glitches like we have been experiencing.

Dominixe, thanks a lot for your help with setting at ease the new site members! Currently, I am not aware of any problems with reputation and activity, everything seems to work well. The bugs were fixed yesterday. It took us long time to tune the alogorithm, now it sorts ads pretty well according to average daily activity and reputation of the site member.

Actually there are providers who did not log in 2 months yet they are on the first page. Might be still a bug or other glitch. Or activity is not so important.......

Again, I would counsel patience. The activity factor is about activity points not number of logins (although the two are related). If Escort A logged in two months ago and made 3 forum posts, then activity points = 31 (1 login + 3 posts). Escort B who logged in every week during the same period but only made 1 post would acquire 18 activity points (8 logins + 1 post). A's ad could still be listed ahead of B's ad if all other factors were equal.

Reputation is the other major factor. In general, ad order follows reputation. The provider ad that you are referring to has a higher reputation factor than the ads that follow it which probably explains its position in the ad list order.

If you still believe there is a bug, then I recommend that you document the details and submit a Support Ticket to Site Admin. You even get activity points for doing so!
