Swine Flu epidemic affecting the business...

The Swine Flu has come to India and the worst affected city is Pune, where I reside and do my business. It all started before 8 days when a 13-year school girl died because of this Flu. And 5 more in the city have died since then. First the rumour factory opened up immediately and was in mass production within hours; that helped spreading the panic among the already scared people. The N-95 masks disappeared from the market and are being sold at black market at huge prices. Those who can't afford to pay so much for N-95 masks, resorted to buying simple surgical masks, which is not at all effective (one pharmacist assured me). Some have started using handkerchiefs as masks.

So when you take a look around, it feels as if you've come to another world where people are born with masked faces (smiling). Every business has been affected, because very few people are willing to come out. The biggest festival of Pune, Ganapati Utsav might not be celebrated this year; because at the time of festival, millions of people gather in the city and there's hardly place to put one's foot on the ground. It is hard to imagine what can happen when millions of people come together and a few of them are infected...

The worst hit business is Escort Busienss!!! All the escorts that I've known say that they've not done any business for last 8-10 days. Today's 12th August and I've been able to entertain only one client by now. There are no chances either of getting any client, at least for a week. The Escort Business has come to Zero!!!! I hope, this panic will vanish very early and the business will start again.
